The U13s had their second friendly of the season against Wealdstone Whites. Report by Hayden Morley

It was a later kick off today at 12.40 on Sunday 30th August. Both teams looks like they wanted to win, Wealdstone were desperate to get a win over us.

The game started lively by both teams, with the ball moving round the pitch well. Wealdstone got the opening goal, but Pinnstars didn't let that affect their game and they restarted the match determined to get a goal. 1-0

We knocked the ball around the field well, using every player. We showed good teamwork which helped lead to Jonny getting the equaliser.
We went in at half time 1-1.

When the second half kicked off, Pinnstars wanted more goals. We pressed hard which helped Hayden get a fluke goal... but a goal is a goal! 1-2.

Wealdstone was pressing the whole time as well and wanted to get back in the game. Laksh made one of many great saves, which he then kicked the ball down the pitch with a great team effort leading to Amaars goal. 1-3.

There were some great shots by others as well that narrowly missed the goal, one being Jonnys fantastic free kick. Wealdstone's number 9 was a threat the whole game. Finley and Vedant did so well to keep him contained and frustrated throughout most of the game. Jonny bulldozed through the midfield throughout most of the game which was annoying Wealdstone as he was just too good for them.

Hayden went on to score a second goal, which came about through again good team work. 1-4

The Wealdstone no 9 broke through to score a 2nd goal for Wealdstone. We knew we were good enough to keep going and we didn't let our heads go down. 2-4

The referee awarded Wealdstone a penalty. For the second match in a row Laksh saved the penalty but sadly one of their players was able to scramble it across the line. 3-4.

Wealdstone found their equalizer after some sustained pressure late in the game. Wealdstone earned a corner after some brilliant defending from Dilan. Wealdstone headed in from the resulting corner. 4-4.

The match ended quite brightly, with Jonny continuing to out skill the opponents, before getting caught by a late and heavy tackle. Thankfully Jonny was ok and he continued the game and continued to out skill the opponents.

Slightly disappointed with result but so happy with our team spirit and skills.
Onto Parkfield next week!
